Every 3PL invoice is built from the same five parts. Here’s ours, in plain English — and exactly how we quote yours.
The five lines on a ShipItSD invoice
- Onboarding (one-time). Account setup, SKU setup, connecting your order flow, first-receipt planning. Scoped to your catalog size.
- Receiving. Per-pallet for palletized freight; hand-unload priced separately because it’s real labor. Rush receiving available and priced as a rush.
- Storage. Per-pallet-position, per month. Priced for inventory that moves — long-sitting inventory pays more per month, fast-turning inventory pays less. We’re a velocity building and price like one.
- Pick & pack. A base price per order plus a per-item add. Wine club packouts and kitting are quoted per-shipment/per-unit from a time study of your actual product — you approve the number before we build.
- Shipping & materials. Shipping bills as carrier + handling on our discounted FedEx/UPS rates. Materials (shippers, boxes, ice packs, dunnage) bill per-use at quoted prices. Adult-signature fees on alcohol pass through from the carrier.
The rules that keep it honest
- You approve every price before it’s live. Packout specs, kit builds, materials — quoted, approved, then locked.
- Monthly minimum. We carry one so small accounts get real service instead of neglect. If your volume can’t clear it, we’ll tell you straight and suggest alternatives.
- No surprise fee schedule. No “account maintenance,” no per-report charge, no fee for talking to a human.
- Rush work costs rush money — and is available. Same-day will-call, expedited projects, release-week surges: quoted upfront as what they are.
Why we don’t publish a rate card
Because a rate card without your volumes is fiction. Two brands with the same order count can cost 2x apart depending on items per order, SKU sprawl, and packaging. Give us five real numbers — orders/month, SKUs, items per order, product type, storage needs — and you’ll get a real quote, usually within one business day.
